I'm a 3rd teacher in Texas and am starting my 16th year teaching. I started teaching first grade. I absolutely did not have a good first year teaching. But with experiences by attending various workshops I learned that teaching is an ART. I was self contained which meant I taught all subjects. After 6 years I left first grade and began teaching 3rd grade Math/Science/Social Studies. These years in 3rd grade has truly impacted my life in many ways. Some good as well as some bad. I am hoping that by blogging, I can continue to refine my instructional strategies and techniques and better meet the needs of my students while collaborating with you. Any math topic that we are teaching is fair game in this blog.
Happy blogging!
